Ok, so keeping up with the blogger in me, I must post today. Although I said I didn't wanna include Nylah Bean on this page, I haven't set up the other page yet, so I must vent. I put Nylah in pre-school 2 weeks ago. Shes 2 1/2. As her mother I felt this would be a wonderful experience for her, exposing her to new surrounding and people. Lets just say its been trying. One day it was, she didnt wanna sit down or switch activities, another day it was she didnt want to eat her lunch and wanted to play. Nothing terrible but I am feeling like shes getting labeled as the "disruptive child" in class. THe class is small, only 10 or so kids, so the "bad" one will stand out.

Nylah is the only child. She pretty much does what she likes here because there is no one else to compete with. Shes well aware of her limits with me. Not much. I discipline her as needed and I have no problem with a spanking, if needed. Call me old school. And doesn't it say somewhere in the Bible...Proverbs or something. Well, whatever it is. I agree that a spanking within reason is justified. But that's not why I'm writing. I'm upset. I arrive at Nylahs school to day, to be informed that Nylah was terrible today: disobeying her teacher, telling her "no" or "no thanks" when TOLD, not asked to do something, getting out of her seat or area, switching her directive to what she wanted. ALL OF IT. I almost got a call. I was devastated. Let me tell you. I know when parents hear stuff about their kids, we go into protective Momma Bear mode. But what could I do today? Nothing but ask Nylah to apologize , apologize myself, and leave. Which is what I did. I was angry, embarrassed, hurt, upset, frustrated to say the least. Her teachers main concern is her saying "NO" when told to do something, and the others kids following suit. She feels shes ready to be there, but that behavior needs to be corrected. Jermaine and I try out hardest to correct this at home, which is sometimes trying because she will say "NO THANK YOU", using her manners. I tell her, thank you for being polite, but Im not asking you, Im telling you. I just dont know what to do. Nylah likes school. I never had a problem with her staying. She waves bye to me. Hugs her teacher when she sees her. Is excited to get dressed and put on her backpack and lunch box. *sigh* Im just second guessing myself. Feeling like a failure as a parent. (Not all together, just in this aspect).

I put her on "punishment" when we got home: no snack or cartoons. She cried herself to sleep. It broke my heart, but I didnt know what else to do. I had to hit her where it hurts: she loves snacks and cartoons. So we will see. I guess I will give it another week. If this behavior continues, I may have to accept thats shes not ready and retry again in January. Pray for her sake and my sanity.

OH WOW, ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR SONCE I LAST POSTED! WOOOOOW!

Ok, so I get a huge "F" at blogging. Its funny because I am addicted to other peoples blogs yet I spend all my time reading others instead of updating mine. So I decided, I am going to do 2 things. One, I decided to remove my Nylah Beans name from this blog. I want to be able to come here and rant, rave, vent, cuss, laugh cry etc. Some things I may not want associated with my baby. SO with that said the 2nd thing I am going to do is start a real family blog. I know, I know you say DAMN BITCH, you cant even keep up with one. But I am going to. Ive decided and its just that. I can do anything I put my mind to right?

I warn you now, this is a no hold bar situation. Whatever I feel, Im posting. This is gonna cause some people to be offended, pissed, whatever. I dont care. It is what it is. If you got a problem with it, start your own blog, and blog about it! I tend to have to be restricted on my facebook, with reason. I have my young neices and nephews on there, Aunties, Uncles, friends parents, etc. So I need a place to let it all hang out. I have learned that not even your closest of friends, family, etc can be that true "ear" when you need it. And sometimes we, cause I know I am not alone, want to vent, want to be heard, but have a hard time with the "hows". SO this is my HOW.

Untill the next one.....

The Whole Digital Getdown

Ok...Ok...Zoe sorry. Ima lagger. I dunno if tonight should have been the night but I do have alot on my mind....

Technology has allowed us to remain close to those that are far away and even closer to those that arent too far. For me lately its been very bitter sweet. I am more than excited to share things with family and friends back home and chat with people everywhere about everyday issues of life. But I am also the type of person when I see/read something, Im most likely going to talk about it, respond to it etc. Thats just me. Ive been doing this online stuff since high school. I used to sit up all night when I would be at my girls house (we had no computer at home) online talkin to people (also b4 the weirdos took it over). I enjoyed the freedom of expression and "door" to other people and places. You can say what you want and if someone didnt like it, they could block/delete you or respond and go at it. Ahhhhh those were the days.....

NOW, online networking with so called "friends" seem to be a big ass headache! People getting offended, you reading stuff, getting offended. Why did you say that? Or why didnt you respond to me? Just dumb and petty stuff when you can pick up a phone and say whatever it is you have to say.

People put alot online and then expect everybody to agree or back them up. It doesnt work that way! God gave us free speech! And were excersize it how WE (each individual person) sees fitting. If someone puts a comment to some one, and thier clearly being fake, whats the harm in pointing it out to them? Are you oh so wrong? And I thought your "friends" were supose to be the ones to tell you about yourself good and bad (however thats a WHOLE different blog)? If you didnt want anyone to have an opinion, maybe online places like myspace, facebook, twitter etc. are not places you need to be! Send a text. An email if you wanna! Get off social networking sites where you have 300 or more friends and expect not to touch, offend, upset, make happy, etc. at least one person!

Wheew. Ok. Sorry. Just had to get that off my chest. Hopefully my next post will have more substance and a brighter tone. JJ and I are goin to Vegas this weekend to let off some steam and relax! Boy do I need it! SO stay tuned....I promise there will be pics! :)
